For our group workout, bring a mat, some water, and the intention to move. This is set to beginners level but there will be variations for those looking for more challenge. The goal is to move and challenge the body. There will also be included a warm up and cool down period of stretching, mobility, and breathing exercises.
We are meeting just near Ladybug Landing Shelter in the Harper Meadows section of WW. Look for the big white sign cause we will be near it. If you’re free this evening, get out of your comfort zone and come join! It’ll be a great means of energizing you for the rest of your week. See you there!

Sideways raining, intense winds, or any other extreme conditions), I will aim to reschedule for a better day. If it is only drizzling, I will NOT cancel the hike. Just plan to wear good hiking boots and a rain jacket.
I always recommend having a bite to eat before a hike. Walking is a great way to help digest a meal and eating beforehand will provide you with plenty of energy to sustain you through a hike.
Our aim will be to hike for about 2-2.5 miles which will take about an hour.

Along with the distinction of being the second-largest cemetery in the United States, Spring Grove Cemetery is also a National Historic Landmark. According to the rules of Spring Grove Cemetery (SGC), a bike permit is required to ride on the premises. This permit is free, but you will need to provide your DL in order to obtain one. Be sure to bring that along if you plan to join.
Northside has a red bike station that we can start at for those who do not have a bike but would be open to renting one. The bike ride from that station to the cemetery is a short one. If you already have a bike, feel free to drive directly to the SGC offices to get your permit before they close the office at 5pm. Come and join us for a beautiful ride, and don’t forget to bring something to keep you hydrated. See you there!

Group Cycling - SGC
Group Cycling on what looks to be a gorgeous spring day! About 75 degrees and sunny! I spoke with someone at Spring Grove Cemetery (SGC), and they said a bike permit is required to ride on the premises. This permit is free, but you will need to provide your DL in order to obtain one. Casual Group Hike *NOT A RUN*—parents are welcome to bring kids along. Feel free to go at whatever pace you want. Our little girl only does well for about 45 min in the more frigid conditions so we will be setting a reasonable but definitely steady pace.
Bring some water (at least 32oz) to stay hydrated, and eat a little something hearty & healthy beforehand to keep yourself fueled up for the entire hike. Aiming for 1-2 miles total which could take 45-60 min. to complete. For this hike, we are also bringing some hot organic green tea to share with others. I (John) will bring some extra cups, but if you have a favorite mug, bring it along and have a cup o’ tea with us before we get started on the hike. Look out for us near our big white sign 🍵🥾🌲🍁
Also, be sure to dress in layers, the weather is dropping more 🥶

Community Wellness: Workout in the Park
Join me and other locals of the greater Cincinnati area in a beginner-friendly workout at the Park. I want to help people in the community come together and enjoy moving more. Let’s keep it in the mornings though when it’s not too hot “:o. Be sure to bring a water bottle and an exercise mat (not necessary for participation but helpful). I will bring about 3 gallons of purified water for those joining to be able to refill and stay hydrated, and disposable cups will be available just in case (but cup supplies are limited so I recommend you bring a water bottle)
It’s safe to say that all of us could always move a little more; it’s rare to find anyone moving too much. Walking and lifting and climbing are all fantastic for the continual strengthening of your body, and your digestive system works better with regular movement too! It will help you feel more energetic, and you double your chances of boosting your immune system by working out in the beautiful sunshine. Vitamin D baby! Get it while it’s here cause you know those cloudy months of Nov-Mar are coming :D

Community Wellness Series: Beginner-Intermediate Stairclimber
With the Community Wellness Series, our aim is to provide a safe and fun environment for the people of the Greater Cincinnati community to enjoy their health and wellness journeys with others. Spring is upon us, and the first event will be kicked off at the beautiful, outdoor steps at the north end of CAM. For this event, the goal is to simply challenge the body and strengthen the cardiovascular system through climbing the flight of stairs however many times you can handle. Please bring water and appropriate foot ware for your safety. Parking is available at top of stairs in the CAM parking lot or at the bottom of the stairs on Gilbert Ave. Be on the lookout for future events!
